SEQ Daily Forecast

Friday 9th December 2022

East to South East winds are expected to impact Coastal areas of the forecast region during the day, with these winds injecting some mediocre moisture into these areas, which will mix with continued mild to warm conditions. This combination is expected to become favourable for producing some isolated showers across the South East Coast, Wide Bay & Burnett areas during the daytime hours, with Northern Inland parts of the forecast region also seeing an increase in isolated, hit and miss showers, during the night. Most showers are expected to be light, which will limit overall accumulations to less than 5mm for the majority of locations. In addition to these showers, there is a chance of some isolated, hit and miss, short lived, weak storms over the Northern Wide Bay during the afternoon and evening. Any storms that do manage to develop are expected to be insignificant with a burst of rain and strong winds.

Across Inland areas, winds are expected to veer more South West to Westerly. These winds are expected to remain warm (but cooler than previous days), whilst producing widespread fine and sunny conditions across all locations (until those showers increase across Northern areas of the forecast region during the night).

Temperatures: Brisbane 20-27ºc, Ipswich 17-30ºc, Beaudesert 17-28ºc, Gold Coast Seaway 19-25ºc, Gold Coast Inland 17-27ºc, Coolangatta 18-25ºc, Sunshine Coast 20-26ºc, Gympie 19-29ºc, Hervey Bay 20-29ºc, Maryborough 20-29ºc, Kingaroy 15-31ºc, Bundaberg 21-30ºc, Gayndah 18-33ºc, Gatton 16-31ºc, Toowoomba 15-28ºc, Warwick 14-29ºc, Dalby 13-31ºc, Stanthorpe 12-26ºc, Roma 14-31ºc, St George 13-29ºc.
